The VCA-1/2000 video amplifier is designed for amplification of one video signal transmitted via coaxial cable. This way it is possible to increase the route of signals up to 2000 meters. The control knobs perform both gain adjustment and correction of frequency response functions. Together with increase of gain, the correction is deeper.
The VCA-1/2000 has a distance range switch: from 400 to 1200 meters, and from 1200 to 2000 meters. The amplifier provides excellent signal quality up to 1200 meters. For the longer distances there is a degradation of the video signal quality (lower contrast, geometrical distortion, etc.). In these cases the device can be used if there is no other long distance solution for no high-end requirements. The amplifier should be employed at the end of transmission line i.e. by monitor. The basic advantage of the device is its low price.
